Privacy Policy

Overview

Traxion is designed with privacy in mind. We do not store your images, do not create user accounts, and do not sell your data. This policy explains exactly what minimal data we handle and why.

Information We Collect

When you use Traxion, the following data is processed:

Tire images: Photos you upload are sent directly to Anthropic's API for analysis and are not stored by Traxion. We do not retain copies of your images on our servers.
IP addresses: Your IP address is temporarily stored in our rate-limiting system to enforce the daily usage limit (5 free analyses per day). This data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Scan count: We maintain an aggregate count of total scans performed. This is a single number with no personal data attached to it.
Local storage: Your past scan results are saved locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

How We Use Your Information

IP addresses are used solely to enforce the free tier usage limit and are not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
Tire images are processed by Anthropic's AI and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except as required to operate the service (Anthropic for AI analysis, Upstash for rate limiting).

Third-Party Services

Traxion uses the following third-party services to operate:

Anthropic: Processes tire images for AI analysis. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Upstash Redis: Stores IP-based rate limit counters. Data is deleted after 24 hours. See Upstash's Privacy Policy.
Vercel: Hosts the application. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Traxion does not use cookies. Your past scan results are stored in your browser's localStorage, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings or the "Clear History" button in the My Garage section.

Children's Privacy

Traxion is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used this service, please contact us.

Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data beyond temporary IP rate-limiting, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. Your IP rate-limit counter automatically expires after 24 hours. Your local scan history can be deleted at any time using the "Clear History" button in the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Traxion after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
